Sunday School

New Providence has a variety of Sunday School Classes for adults. We meet at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday mornings. If you would like more information about the specific studies, please contact Rev. Steve Musick at steve@newprovidencepres.org or Meredith Goins at Meredith.Goins@gmail.com (chair for Adult Education).

  • Faith and Culture class started a new study, When Religion Becomes Lethal by Charles Kimball, on April 22nd which will last until June 24th.  Participants lead this class which meets in room 109 behind the library.
  • Disciples class continues with a lectionary-based study. This class is led by The Rev. Steve Musick and meets in the chapel
  • The Rest of Us class continues the lectionary-based study using The Seasons of the Spirit curriculum. Leaders of this class are Lora and Bryan Irwin and the class meets on the 3rd floor in room 206. This class also offers 6-week small group study breakouts on a regular basis.
  • Seekers of Seven class continues to read The Life of Paul for Today by Lyle D. Vander Broek and will begin The Reformation for Armchair Theologians by Glen Sunshine in May.  Participants lead this class and it meets in the Parlor unless Inquirer’s Class meets, then they will meet in room 108 behind the library.
  • Pathfinders class – (Beginning June 3, 2012) is a new offering for 35 to 50 year olds who are looking to make or reestablish connections at our church. Participants lead this class and it will meet on the 3rd floor in Room 214.
  • The Gap is another new class for 20-35 year olds which meets in Room 213. Led by Diana Curtis, they are studying The Wired Word.
