Supper Club

The Community Life-sponsored Supper Club has been gathering for food, fellowship and fun for over 4 years now. There have been over 100 people who have participated. The purpose of the Supper Club is for people to get together in small groups of 6 to 8 people, once a month and share a meal. The group will be comprised of both couples and singles, young and old, new members and long time members. The meal doesn't have to be home-cooked, it could be a potluck, brunch or dinner at a restaurant, or maybe a picnic. The groups are together for 4 months and then rotate to new groups. You join for 1 session at a time, therefore if you know you will not be able to participate for a session, that's fine. You will have the opportunity to join again at the next session.

For John and I personally, it has been a opportunity to meet the people of our church that we wouldn't necessarily get to meet, and we continue to add to our friendships at the church.

We are trying a new approach that has two purposes. First the new approach will allow for easier planning of your meetings, and second bringing the groups together twice a year will allow you to meet even more people. The new format will be to signup during the sign up period and then all the groups will meet at the church for a potluck with everybody and planning session with your group. Your group will then meet for the next 4 months.
