Housing
New Providence partners with Habitat for Humanity of Blount County, and PIVOT TN to increase access to affordable housing for those in our community who need it. Church members can participate in Habitat build days, organized periodically by the church, or weekly through Habitat.
Healthcare
New Providence helps to provide information to our community about annually recertifying with TennCare, and to check eligibility for those who do not currently have health insurance. We also provide quarterly health checks for Blood Sugar and Blood pressure at our Tuesday Welcome Table. If needed, we will connect folks with resources for further evaluation or continuing care.
Education
New Providence helps improve the quality of education learners are receiving by directing resources toward literacy programs in our local area. Through the Matthew 25 initiative, we cultivate opportunities for church members to become readers in libraries and schools, as well as providing books for adults and children each week through the LIFT library at Welcome Table. Additional programs around literacy and access to education are being developed and considered.
